OPTAXE IS FOUNDED

OptAxe was founded with a vision to provide innovative financial trading solutions that cater to the needs of institutional traders. Our team of experts has years of experience in the financial trading industry, and we are committed to providing our clients with the best service possible.

2022

WAYNE PASCOE & DAVEY MOORES JOIN

OptAxe begins development of the platform, hiring CTO Wayne Pascoe from JP Morgan and Lead Engineer, Davey Moores, from Mollie. The team agrees the architecture of OptAxe and begins working on the code.

Chris Jackson

Chris has worked in Global Markets for 20 years, most recently as Head of FX Hedge Fund sales at HSBC. He started his career in FX at Lehman Brothers and has covered a variety of clients across both FI and FX.

Chris completed an MBA from Imperial College and BA (Hons) Economics from the University of Manchester.

Yorke O’Leary

Yorke has 15 years FX Sales experience working for Goldman Sachs, HSBC and Citibank, covering Hedge Funds.

Yorke’s strong technical knowledge of FX Options and sales efficiency has enhanced his client dealing experiences. He has a BSc (Hons) Economics from the University of Bath and completed a year in industry as an accountant for EY.

Wayne Pascoe

Wayne has worked in several successful startups and investment banks, most recently at J.P. Morgan building and managing a large global engineering team.

He excels at bringing together high-performing teams to deliver business solutions using appropriate technologies and best practices.

David Moores

David has been designing, building and delivering digital products and services for some of the world’s most influential brands for over a decade.

He specializes in optimizing development teams through cutting edge tooling and engineering best practices. David attained a BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronics Degree from Queen’s University Belfast.

Senior engineer

Lefteris Tatakis

Lefteris is a Senior Software Engineer that has worked across multiple roles and industries, now focusing on Back-End development, with expertise of APIs and authentication.

He holds a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science and an MRes in Advanced Computer Science from The University of Manchester.

OptAxe is fortunate to have a distinguished advisory board with extensive experience in the financial services industry. The board provides OptAxe with valuable guidance and support as we continue to grow and develop our business.

Gemma Laman

Gemma is a Managing Director at HSBC and Global Head of the FX Solutions Sales team responsible for the strategic direction of the team as well as the origination of new business and the management of clients’ globally across FX Prime Brokerage, FX Overlay and FX solutions for Custody.

Gemma also previously held the role of Global Head of FX Prime Brokerage. Gemma holds a degree in Politics and Philosophy from the University of East Anglia.

Guy Saidenberg

Guy is an industry veteran running global divisions at investment banks. He is now an angel investor and advisor to platform businesses. Most recently he was Global Co-Head of Markets at Barclays.

Prior to that, Guy spent 17 years at Goldman Sachs running various departments, including Emerging Markets, FX, Commodities, Sales Stats and the Securities Division Digital Strategy. Guy has an PhD in Financial Economics from the University of Chicago.

Bryant Park

Bryant was recently Global Head of FX Sales and Head of EMEA Pension & Insurance Solution Sales at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Before that, Bryant spent 22 years at Goldman Sachs with roles including Head of FICC Institutional Sales Tokyo , FI Derivatives HF Sales, Equity Derivative Sales Tokyo, and GSAM Chicago. Bryant was also a FICC Markets Standards Board Member up until 2022 and has an MBA from the University of Chicago.
