For market makers

Move risk without leaking information

Whether you have axes you want to distribute across your franchise or risk you need to clear interbank, OptAxe allows market makers to do this systematically and discreetly.

What you get

Control, qualified flow, franchise protection

Control

You decide which participants see each axe: everyone with permission, a group, or named clients. You price every request in your own system, and you can withdraw an axe at any time.

Qualified flow

Requests arrive only against interest you have posted, from participants who want the other side. Manually re-pricing every request across the street is a tax on the desk. Here you price the flow you asked for.

Franchise protection

The venue is independent and the relationship stays yours. Counterparties are disclosed at the point of trade, and nobody outside a request knows it took place.

How it fits the desk

Price in your system. The venue builds to your FIX

Market makers do not re-key into another screen. Axes are posted from your own systems, requests arrive in your pricing engine over FIX, and quotes return the same way. Sales and trading can also use the web UI for visibility and manual handling. OptAxe works with your connectivity team during onboarding to map messages to your existing FIX implementation.

  • Post, amend and withdraw axes by Symphony in natural language, REST/WS API, FIX or from the web UI.
  • Receive requests, return firm quotes with validity, and receive executions and confirmations.
  • Drop copy and REST/WS access for risk, compliance and post-trade systems.
  • Symphony notifications for sales coverage.

What we do not promise

We do not promise volume, and we do not make liquidity or depth claims. What we provide to participants is the aggregate, anonymised Axe Inventory and venue statistics, so you can judge for yourself.
